What Is Word Guess?

Word Guess is a popular word game where you try to find a hidden 5-letter word in 6 attempts. After each guess, the letters are color-coded to give you clues:

• Green: The letter is in the correct position
• Yellow: The letter is in the word but in the wrong position
• Gray: The letter is not in the word at all

Choosing Your First Word

Your opening word is crucial. A good first word should:

• Contain frequently used letters (E, A, R, S, T, O, L, N)
• Have no repeated letters
• Suggestions: SLATE, CRANE, ADIEU

Elimination Strategy

1. In your first 2 guesses, try to test as many different letters as possible
2. Try yellow letters in different positions on your next guess
3. Never reuse gray letters
4. Pay attention to common letter patterns in English (TH, ING, TION, etc.)

Advanced Play

To solve it in 3 guesses: use your first two words to test 10 different letters. With the remaining guesses, place the confirmed letters in their correct positions. Learn common English word patterns (e.g., _IGHT, _OUND, _TION endings) to narrow down possibilities quickly.
